PrivateBeeswax is AI chat for the whole family. Family accounts share one coin pool, parents can create teen (13–17) accounts and see each member’s usage, and it’s private by design with content filtering that keeps chats and AI image creation family‑safe.

Yes, with a parent (18+) managing the account. The group admin creates the teen account after accepting additional teen‑account terms. Teen accounts use the family coin pool, can’t buy coins and can’t join forums, so they only talk with the AI, not with other users. Under 13 is not supported.

The parent who runs the group sees each member’s usage (coins and activity over time) and manages the coin pool and members. Parents don’t see chat contents: oversight is transparent and family‑controlled, not surveillance. Talk with your teen about how they use AI.

You’ll go to the signup page to create an account (18+). Teen accounts (13–17) can’t sign up directly; a parent or other adult group admin creates them inside their family group.

One‑on‑one chats are stored on your device by default. If you turn on sync for a chat, its messages are encrypted before they are stored on our servers. We don’t sell your personal information. Your group members, including the parent who runs the group, can’t read your one‑on‑one chats. Details: Privacy & Terms.

Requests are checked before the AI runs. For everyone, AI image creation blocks sexual content and nudity, gore, hateful symbols and self‑harm, and child‑safety violations are blocked in chat. Family and teen accounts get stricter image rules (no weapons, drugs, alcohol, violence or scary or suggestive scenes), age‑appropriate AI instructions, and filtering of chat and @bee requests, with a friendly explanation instead of an answer. Self‑harm questions get a supportive reply that points to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Filters are automated and can occasionally miss something or block something harmless.

It’s a browser-based web app. There’s no required download for basic use.
